Watershed Discipleship and Creation Justice 1:30 – 3:30 pm
Rev. Laurel Dykstra has a vocation for environmental justice and is the priest of Salal + Cedar www.salalandcedar.com, an Anglican ministry in Vancouver that meets regularly for outdoor worship, education and action. She will share how her community fits into the ecumenical Watershed Discipleship movement, that asks “what does it mean to be a follower of the Jesus Way here, among the land, water, creatures and people of a particular place?” Watershed Discipleship refers both to watersheds as natural geographic divisions and to the fact that we are at a watershed moment in terms of climate crisis. A suggested donation of $20 will help organizers to cover costs. Beverages and snacks will be available. Please bring your own bagged lunch. Register by phoning 250-732-8332 or email firstname.lastname@example.org This event is only two weeks away, so register soon and join us on this journey!
